About Us

Who We Are

As Christian U.S. and Indian nationals, the founders of SHINE Like STARS carry a family legacy of over 70 years of ministry and missions in India and around the world. Yet the work is far from over. Guided by the Holy Spirit, Shine Like Stars is committed to mobilizing the body of Christ to carry out the Great Commission and live out the Greatest Commandments of Loving God and Loving neighbor – one changed life at a time.

Core Values

1

Faith in Action

We live out the Gospel through service, advocacy, and stewardship, demonstrating God’s love through tangible impact.

2

Stewardship of Blessings

We believe the resources of time, talents, and treasure should be used wisely, recognizing they are entrusted to us for God’s work, not our own gain.

3

Restorative Love

We work beyond just meeting needs, but to restore dignity, purpose, and wholeness in individuals and communities.

4

Courageous Compassion

We serve others with Christ-like love, building relationships, empowering communities, and working alongside others, to create lasting transformation.

Our Why & What We Do

With a population exceeding 1.4 billion, India stands as one of the most populous nations on earth. But beyond its sheer size lies an extraordinary depth of diversity: over 2,500 distinct people groups live within its borders. This means that being “Indian” is not a single cultural identity, but a rich mosaic of languages, beliefs, and traditions, each rooted in centuries of heritage and community.  However, equally entrenched are the social and humanitarian complexities.

SHINE Like STARS connects individuals and churches from all over the globe with the opportunity to reach the unreached, and marginalized people groups of India.  Through God’s love for the nations, we want to give every person in India the opportunity for life transformation and eternal hope through Christ.

Through this partnership model, individuals and groups share their gifts, skills, resources, prayers and love in a collaborative and purpose driven way.

The church world-wide is under persecution, with believers in India facing the severest of forms, including potential punishment by death for advancing the Gospel.  We partner strategically with front-line leaders and believers in India who have been called to serve in their communities. These servant-leaders work primarily in rural areas and remote villages, sustaining church plants, rescuing the lonely and outcasts and ultimately raising up disciples. Entire people groups who once lived in darkness are finding not only a restored life here on earth but eternal life through Christ.

Join us in living out the Greatest Commandments and fulfilling the Great Commission—one act of love, one life at a time.
